EAPS Awards Banquet presented virtually this year due to COVID-19

EAPS Awards

The spring semester of 2020 presented an unusual problem.  Due to the spread of COVID-19, universities all over the world were forced to go to online learning in hopes of slowing or stopping the spread of the disease.  Unfortunately, this caused events like the Annual EAPS Awards Banquet to be cancelled.  Because there were still awards to be presented and students to be celebrated, EAPS decided to move the awards banquet online and have a virtual two week ceremony on social media.

Awards were presented in video format on the EAPS social media channels Twitter and Facebook Monday through Friday from March 30 through April 10, 2020.

Dr. Daniel Cziczo, Purdue EAPS department head, had this to say to seniors who were recognized on April 10, "as you open the next chapter of your lives, EAPS and Purdue hope that we’ve provided you with the tools you’ll need to have great joy and success. As Albert Einstein said, 'Your imagination is your preview of life’s coming attractions.' You’ve shown us your fantastic imaginations over the last four years, we hope you'll enjoy the coming attractions!"
