The Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences at Purdue University is seeking an Earth scientist for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant or associate professor rank who conducts research on active tectonic processes using airborne or orbital remote sensing. Individuals who apply remote sensing techniques to the study of ongoing tectonic processes such as earthquakes, volcanoes, and associated hazards on societally relevant timescales are encouraged to apply. Relevant remote sensing techniques could include but are not limited to InSAR, GNSS, gravity, lidar, imaging spectroscopy, and imaging/stereoimaging. Relevant applications could include, but are not limited to, the study of plate boundaries, the surface expression of active tectonics, volcanic processes, deformation, and rheology.
