Ayobami Oluwadunsin Oladapo
MS. Student
My name is Ayobami Oluwadunsin Oladapo and I am from Nigeria. I obtained my BTech. in Geology from the Federal University of Technology Minna, Nigeria in 2018 . I am passionate about the environment, particularly in proffering solutions to surface water and groundwater contamination issues associated with diverse sources and this has fueled my interest to further explore and widen my horizons. I am currently a first year Masters student and my aim is to advance my skills in hydrologic and surface processes and contaminant fate and transport, which lie at an interface between hydrogeology, hydrology, and geochemistry. In my research, I am using isotopic and geochemical tracers to understand the interactions between alpine glaciers and mountain groundwater systems by assessing the impact of glacier melt recharge on mountain groundwater processes and their role in generating perennial flow to local- to regional-scale springs. I am interested in using these skills to assess the vulnerability of ground water in our high mountains and the impacts they have on the sustainability and usage of water in our communities.
