Graduate students wanted

The Ecosystems and Biogeochemical Dynamics Laboratory (EBDL) at Purdue University is seeking one/two graduate students starting Fall, 2024, who are interested in

  1. modeling feedbacks between the biosphere and atmospheric climate and chemistry and/or
  2. modeling water, carbon and nitrogen cycling in terrestrial ecosystems including agricultural ecosystems.

Students majored in ecosystem sciences, atmospheric sciences. agronomy and other related fields with proficient mathematical and computational skills and interests in pursuing PhD programs are preferred. The students will have the opportunity to interact with faculty members, scientists, and students in the Department of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences and the Department of Agronomy as well as the Purdue Climate Change Research Center. Post-Doctoral Scientist in Ecosystems and Biogeochemical Dynamics

The Ecosystems and Biogeochemical Dynamics Laboratory at Purdue University is seeking a Post-Doctoral Scientist. The responsibility of this position is to apply a range of skills in ecosystems sciences, remote-sensing and GIS techniques, programming, and mathematics to address large-scale questions of ecosystem and biogeochemical dynamics. Proficient mathematical and computational skills and demonstrated works in the field of impacts of soil erosion on ecosystem dynamics are preferred. The initial funding for the position is for one year with potentially renewable for the second year depending on funding resources. The position will start in January, 2008. The post-doc scientist will have the opportunity to interact with faculty members and scientists in Department of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences and Department of Agronomy as well as the Purdue Climate Change Research Center.
