Projects

The Michalski group's research uses isotopic, chemical, and modeling techniques to understand biogeochemical cycling, with a focus on the nitrogen cycle. Research sites span the globe: Click on a site (star) to see what questions we are trying to answer at each local. Our research is mainly conducted at the Purdue's Stable Isotope facility (link), a state of the are mass spectrometer lab where isotopes of H, N, C, O and S can be measured. In addition, chemical analysis is performed using gas chromatography, ion chromatography, high pressure liquid chromatography, and wet/dry chemical possessing.
